Capitol City Classic Championships
Our home competition continues to grow each year. We are now competing at World Harvest Church a modern facility with bleacher seating for the families and spectators, as well as a large floor space to keep the gymnasts from feeling confined. Capitol City is dedicated to providing an experience for the gymnast that is fun and exhilarating. Every All Around Champion also earns a special gift. Last year we had 550 competitors doing levels two through ten. Every gymnast receives a FREE leotard that attends as well as an All-Around trophy. Better known as “Parents Night Out”. Open gym offers your children the chance to come in and use the equipment in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. You do not need to be a member, however you will need a parent or legal guardian to fill out a release waiver. Bring your friends and come in and enjoy a fun time flipping and twisting. Capitol City takes great pride in our competitive teams, and supports the gymnasts as they pursue their dreams. We have produced numerous individual State Champions as well as Lexi Smith a National Champion. We are responsible for seven State Team titles and feel that with desire, hard work, and dedication we can help your child accomplish their goals.
The competitive teams practice several times throughout the week and compete on the weekends during the season. In this fun and supportive environment, the young gymnasts’ talents flourish as they continue to learn new and challenging gymnastics skills. Competition gives them an opportunity to be on stage and show off what all of the hard work and dedication has created.
In addition to developing strength, flexibility, and gymnastics skills, the staff is honored by the opportunity to invest in your child’s life. Camps and Clinics
Every Summer Capitol City hosts a special competitive team camp survivor style. The gymnasts train for twenty eight hours during the week, with fun survivor challenges daily. On Thursday after practice the gymnasts take time for a pool break as well as a Survivor overnight at the gym. Some of our recent challenges involved a climbing wall, dunk tank, obstacle course and everyone’s favorite the yum and yuk wheel. We provide an excellent training atmosphere with the Capitol City Staff as well as many guest judges and coaches from near and far.
Capitol City also provides numerous specialty camps for cheerleaders specializing on specific skills such as Roundoffs, Backhandsprings, Back Flips, and Twisting skills.
